Brainwashing is a technique of influencing mind. When an assertion is repeated again and again as a gospel truth without allowing difference of opinion, mind gets numb after a while and takes the assertion as truth. And if an organized group exercises this technique on a large group or society, a hysteria occurs. But the best, actually the worst, results occur when this technique is applied on children.
Popular way of doing brainwashing on a large number of people, even on the whole of society, is by propaganda. Start a massive propaganda campaign on print, electronic or social media and make sure those who try to counter it with reason or facts, are forced into silence. And you will soon have a mass of intellectual zombies.
Most vulnerable and easiest targets of brainwashing are kids and unthinking adults.
We think that only uneducated and irrational people are capable of doing horrible acts of mass murders. But Hitler proved us wrong! The Holocaust of the twentieth century showed that even an educated reasonable person can be capable of acting like a ferocious wild animal. Not only a person but a whole modern society. Thanks to Nazi propaganda.
Nazis carved out a society without critical thinking skills, and then brainwashed them along with kids; giving rise to a merciless killing machine.

There always are principles and dogmas that are not supported by reason and logic. And dressing such dogmas in pseudo logic is the favorite game of Nazis and neo-Nazis; thus misinterpreting it to use and abuse it for their own evil goals.
The Fundamentalist Jehadis are using the same techniques to lure us and our youth into their dollar games. They hire us in the name of God, and then make us kill our brethren; counting their dollars per dead body.
