So being a mother of two daughters and being a woman myself, today I was compelled to share and express my views –my liberal views. This notorious girl “Qandeel”who was killed by her brother because she was a disgrace to her family.

After watching it on TV I thought for a moment ,that me being one of her million facebook page followers ,me being mocking her on her hilarious ,vulgar rather  stupid videos and pics ,never thought that she would turn up dead just like that, though she held no significant value in my life certain questions arose in my mind. I could not help but wonder that why wasn’t she killed by her brother when she was supporting her family though the same facebook stunts ,why wasn’t she killed when she bought her old parents a HOUSE which in fact was the obligation of her RESPECTED AND HONOURABLE brother. Another question popped up, is honor really related to women only and not men? Why don’t we HONOUR KILL the dirty bastards scratching their genitals in public on seeing a five year old? Is it really so that a pedophile can roam with much more honor and respect than a stupid girl who was just seeking media attention or what so ever? So I came to a conclusion that you can seriously be killed by your brother, father or for that matter husband just because you once wore sleeveless, had a dinner or lunch with your male colleague or just for that matter marry a man of your choice(although it is perfectly in line with the Islamic teachings ).No, I am certainly not supporting Qandeel’s acts ,but yes I am also not being judgmental. She was an adult and did what she thought was right for her as we all do for ourselves ,it’s just that we “good respectable people “who watch English porn very excitedly could not handle “Desi excitement”!

Just for a moment think if these are the standards for honor killings when it comes to female members of a family, then what to say about a man who beats up his wife, betrays his wife or a father who refuses to nominate his daughter when it comes to inheritance or a brother who lives on the expense of his earning sister and yet questions her character!!!

Oh! so here is our HONOUR like a slap on our face!! As the brother who killed her in the name of honor ended up giving her all the fame she could not achieve being alive!!!
