India Needed Corrupt Judges!

Once upon a time, justice was dying in India. Millions of cases were pending in Courts.

If someone had to file a case, it would take decades, and sometimes generations to get it decided.

Even when the cases were decided, mostly they were decided wrongly. So the King sent all the judges home and decided to appoint new judges. When he started finding new judges he found there were only two kinds of judges available.

1- Competent but corrupt, and

2- Honest but incompetent.

He was in a fix. What to do. And then he decided to appoint Competent but corrupt judges for valid reasons.

Corrupt judges decide 20% of cases wrongly because of corruption, but decide 80% of cases correctly.

Incompetent judges, on the other hand, very honestly decide 80% of cases wrongly and decide only 20% of cases correctly; just by chance!

So King thought that in the given circumstances, it was easy to get the corrupt judges decide 80% of cases correctly and try to check their corruption. But he found it disastrous to let the incompetent judges decide 80% of cases wrongly, and impossible to teach them what they had failed to learn till the 5th decade of their lives!!!
